For the payment of income tax liability – you can use a function - write cheques (under banking) whereby your corresponding account is income tax liability account

Go to Taxes and choose Payroll Tax.
Click on Pay Taxes.
On the Pay Taxes page, click on Record payment for the tax you want to pay.
For the Payment Date, select Other and enter the actual date the payment was made.
Enter the check number.
Click on Record.
